           Quick Step Set-up Instructions

Step 1. Electronic Signature/Filer Registration:

1. On the Login page, click on the Register button if you are a new user. 

2. On the next screen is the E-Signature Agreement. You will need to agree by clicking the "I Agree" button.

3. On the next screen, type the word appearing in the picture in the box. Then scroll down and create a User ID and Password. Write your user ID and password down so you don't forget it later. Click Submit.

4. On the next page is the New E-Signature Account Registration. Enter your information in the required fields. Make sure you select NO for Personal Income Tax if you do not intend to use it. Click Submit.

5. The next screen will say, "Account Successfully Created!" Click on the Login button to access e-TIDES.

6. You have now successfully registered your user ID and password. Your User ID and Password will be considered your Electronic Signature when on the system.*** You will now need to register your Enterprise. Please see the instructions below in Step 2.

*** Only one User ID and Password is needed per user. You may register more than one client/enterprise for filing through e-TIDES under the same User ID and Password. If more than one filer/user will need access to an enterprise please see the Multiple Filer User instructions contained in these instructions.

Step 2. Enterprise Registration:

Sales, Use and Hotel Occupancy, Employer Withholding, and Corporate Taxes only:

The enterprise registration process for Sales, Use and Hotel Occupancy, Employer Withholding and Corporate Taxes is a real time process.  Upon completion of the registration process, you will immediately be able to file a tax return and/or payment. 

1. Look to the left hand side and click on Register Enterprise.

2. Choose your tax type and click Next. Read the Trading Partner Agreement form and scroll down to the bottom of the screen to click on "I agree."

3. Next, enter your PA Assigned tax account number, entity ID and entity type. The options for entity ID are contained in the entity type drop-down box. Click "Next".

4. The next screen will give you your enterprise details. If anything is incorrect, you may make corrections by clicking on Enterprise Maintenance on the left hand side of the screen. You are now ready to file. Click on File Return/Payment to begin.

All Other Tax types:

1. Look to the left hand side and click on Register Enterprise.

2. Choose your tax type and click Next. Read the Trading Partner Agreement form and scroll down to the bottom of the screen to click on "I agree."

3. Enter the Required information for the enterprise. Then select a Payment Method from the dropdown box and click Submit. If selecting ACH Credit, your registration has been submitted. If selecting ACH Debit, you will be presented with a new screen to complete the Banking information. When you are finished, click Submit.

4. You must complete all fields with the exception of Information Reporting ID unless you were previously registered to participate in the EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) Program. Please enter the Information Reporting ID assigned to the tax type being registered and click Submit.

The enterprise registration process for all other tax types is NOT a real time process.  Upon completion of the registration process, your registration will be processed within three business days.
