           Quick Step Set-up Instructions

Step 1. Electronic Signature/Filer Registration:

1. On the Login screen, click on the Register button if you are a new user. You need one e-Signature account to administer, file and pay for many business accounts.

2. On the next screen is the e-Signature Agreement. You must agree to the terms and conditions by clicking the I Agree button.

3. On the next screen, you will create your User ID and Password. Please keep your User ID and Password in a safe and secure location. DO NOT share your login credentials with anyone. Click the Submit button.

4. On the User Profile screen the information you enter in the required fields should identify you, and not a business entity. Select the option 'I am registering for Business Taxes.', and click the Submit button.

5. The next screen will display two messages; "Account Successfully Created" and "A confirmation email was sent to your email address." Before you can access e-TIDES (or many other applications that use e-Signature), you must confirm your email address. Note: Any change to your email address will require confirmation.

After confirming your email address, you can then register the enterprise using the Register Enterprise (see Step 2.) link on the left navigation menu.

Your User ID and Password will be considered your Electronic Signature when using e-TIDES.

*** Only one User ID and Password is needed per user. You may register more than one client/enterprise for filing through e-TIDES under the same User ID and Password. If more than one filer/user will need access to an enterprise please see the Multiple Filer User instructions.

Step 2. Enterprise Registration:

Sales, Use and Hotel Occupancy, Employer Withholding, Corporate Taxes, Public Transportation Assistance Fund Taxes and Fees, Vehicle Rental Tax, Wine Excise Tax (must be registered for Sales Tax), and Other Tobacco Products:

The enterprise registration process for these tax types is done in real time, and you can immediately file tax returns and/or make payments.

1. On the left navigation menu, click the Register Enterprise link.

2. Select your tax type and click Next button.

3. Read the e-TIDES Filing Trading Partner Agreement and click the I Agree button.

4. Enter the PA assigned tax Account ID or Revenue ID number, Entity ID number, select the Type  Entity ID, and click the Next button. The Entity ID number types are in the drop-down box.

If you are the first person to register tax account, you become the enterprise administrator and will control access for other users/filers. If the business is already registered to another person, and you create an association between yourself and the tax account, the enterprise administrator be notified of your request for access to the tax account.

If you are the enterprise administrator and you need to make corrections, you can do so by selecting the Enterprise Maintenance link on the left navigation menu. 

All Other Tax types:

The enterprise registration process for all other tax types is NOT a real time process. Upon completion of the registration process, your registration will be processed within three business days barring no errors.

1. On the left navigation menu, click the Register Enterprise link.

2. Select the tax type and click the Next button.

3. Read the e-TIDES Filing Trading Partner Agreement and click the I Agree button.

4. Enter the PA assigned tax Account ID number, and click the Next button.

5. Enter the FEIN, Business Name and Address, select a Payment Method using the drop-down box, and click the Submit button.

Note: If you selected ACH Debit as the payment method the following information is required; Bank Name and Address, Bank Account Number, ABA Routing Number, and Bank Account Type. If this tax account is already registered for ACH Debit payments, you must provide the Information Reporting ID number and click on the Next button to complete the enterprise registration process. If this business was not previously registered for electronic payments, this field should be left blank.
