Enterprise Registration

General Information:

In order to file returns and make payments for a given enterprise, that enterprise must be registered in the e-TIDES system. Once registered, any number of persons can file returns or make payments through e-TIDES when approved by the enterprise administrator.

Process for Enterprise Registration:

Choose 'Register Enterprise' from the left navigation menu then select the appropriate tax type and click the Next button. Read the e-TIDES Internet Filing Trading Partner Agreement, if you agree to the terms click on the I Agree button. You must provide two different ID numbers associated with the enterprise such as, the PA Account ID Number or 10 digit Revenue ID number and the Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN), owners Social Security Number (SSN) for a sole proprietorship or PA Tax Account ID number in the appropriate boxes.

If the enterprise is already registered in e-TIDES by another person, you will be given their contact information and this person will be sent an e-Alert as notification of your request. When your request is either approved or rejected, a message will display on the welcome screen. Select the 'View Messages' link on the left navigation menu to view the message. Required Information for most Tax Types:

This registration process is done in real time. You will be able to file returns and make payments immediately. Please make sure to remove any ACH debit block from your bank account prior to making a payment.

Required Information for Cigarette Stamp Agents:

After completing this registration process, it may take up to 3 business days for e-TIDES to verify the information entered was correct before you are able to make a payment. Please make sure to remove any ACH debit block from your bank account prior to making a payment.

Confirm Registration Status for Cigarette Stamp Agents:

To confirm the status of your registration, login on the next business day and select 'Enterprise Maintenance' from the left navigation menu. Select the enterprise and click the Next button. Choose the option View/Update Enterprise Information and click the Next button. If the e-TIDES Account Status is Active the registration of the enterprise was successful. If the e-TIDES Account Status is Error or Incomplete the registration was not approved. On the left navigation menu, click the 'View Messages' link to view the error reason.

Correct and Re-submit Registration for Cigarette Stamp Agents:

To correct and re-submit the enterprise registration information, select 'Enterprise Maintenance' from the left navigation menu. Select the enterprise and click the Next button. Choose the option to View/Update Enterprise Information and click the Next button. On the Enterprise Information screen, click the Edit button at the bottom and verify the PA Account ID number, Entity ID number, type of Entity ID, name and address of the company and type of payment method selected, and make any necessary changes and click the Submit button. If you select the ACH Debit payment method you will need to verify the banking information entered on the next screen and make any needed changes and click the Submit button.
